Welcome to the Merrymount Farms, Inc. web site. Our professionally run clinics and training programs are performed at our full service facility in Bernville, Pennsylvania. As horse-lovers and owners ourselves, we offer complete boarding and overnight stays in our large comfortable stalls. We breed thoroughbreds and we stand the stallion, Rouge Clover.
Merrymount Farms is dedicated to our love of the horse and our first priority is you and your horse's safety. Our desire is to function with you in a learning environment to provide you with the tools you need to enjoy our horse or your own. Working together, this is accomplished through knowledge, experience and the mutual love and respect we have for the horse. Our lesson program tries to accommodate your schedule, we teach children and adults during the day, after school or work, and on the weekends. Our lesson horses are qualified horses that can also take the students to horse shows and help them bring home a ribbon.
The lessons are given by Gerri Luff. She has been teaching for Merrymount Farms, Inc. since 1973. Our students range from beginners to advanced show riders. We also have a western program designed to teach Western Pleasure and Equitation. Whatever form of horsemanship, the primary goal is to instill the values of honesty, fairness, respect and sportsmanship in our students.
Boarding is offered to the discerning horseman who wants top care for his or her horse. The well being of the horse is our first and foremost concern. Daily turnout with your boots or turnout rug is provided as well as daily stall cleaning. Only the finest hay and feed are provided including any supplements that are required. Your horse's general condition is checked on a daily basis, blankets straightened and water/feed buckets cleaned as necessary. Water is maintained at least twice a day, on hot summer days - three to four times a day. On cold winter nights our horses receive a hot bran mash to help keep their digestive system operating properly.
