It is our priority, to provide a high level of patient care. Having appointments available for patients when they need them is a significant part of providing the level of service we strive for. It is our goal to put our our patients first. Therefore, we have developed a system that will allow patients to call for an appointment on the day they need to be seen.
Recently, Dr. Shields has seen a progressive increase in the number of patients seeking care in the urgent care setting for chronic illness and disease because they do not have convenient access to their personal physicians. This prompted him to develop the concept of a Family Doctor who is available when his patient needs medical care. He felt that the physician would need to have a very flexible scheduling pattern to accommodate the hectic lifestyles of Americans today. It would require a physician who would utilize current technology to simplify the overwhelming amount of paperwork required in the practice of medicine.
