In 1969, at age fourteen, Bob Altizer began taking pictures as a hobby. The owner of the Lincoln Highway Photography has come a long way since then...but his passion for art and photography has remained the same. Discouraged as a student to enter this profession because of the financial income, he sacrificed his dream and put on a suit and tie in order to "safely" provide for his family.
However, he continued to photograph for commercial and industrial companies. It was on one of these shoots that he fell from a ladder (saving the camera!), but breaking his hip, that allowed a change of life to occur. During the extensive rest and recuperation, he passed his time by watching the Wedding Story on TLC. Bob's passion for photography returned. He wanted his career to be fun, and to enjoy life again...by doing what he loved.
His family urged him to follow his dreams, and with their encouragement, Bob opened a small one-room studio in 1998, the Lincoln Highway Photography. His wife, Debbie was right behind him. Her artistic eye and organization led her to become his assistant. (Behind every good man, there stands a good woman...) Together, they read numerous books, attended seminars, and studied the art of photography. Three years later, a large indoor outdoor studio took the place of the original building.
Wedding photography has become a love affair to Bob and Debbie. Their passion allows them to capture the intensity of the moments and the special day of the bride and groom. A wedding is filled with laughter, tears and smiles, and love...all that is meticulously photographed and placed in an album to be shared and cherished for years to come.
While taking senior portraits, Bob and Debbie truly bring out the distinct personality and spirit of each young adult. Focus is placed on individuality, and seniors are encouraged to bring personal props, hobby items, friends, and even pets to their session.
Family, Children, Sports, Wedding Anniversaries, Parties, Special Events and Pet photo sessions are also taken at the indoor/outdoor studio, and away on location shoots. Bob and Debbie have made it a personal goal to allow the customer a stress free, enjoyable experience, and to capture the heart and spirit of each face in front of their lens.
