the area's growing need for quality health care. >>
Welcome to BCA, Buxmont Cardiology Associates, based in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, of the Bucks/Montgomery area. This website has been designed to acquaint you with our doctors and the variety of specialized professional services we provide. BCA is comprised of 6 board certified/eligible cardiologists. We, together with our staff, take pride in delivering quality care and medical expertise in a sensitive and caring manner.
Cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of the heart and blood vessels. In addition to being fully trained in Internal Medicine, the cardiologist has had extensive training in diseases such as heart attack, high blood pressure, heart failure, diseases of the heart valves and hardening of the arteries in the vessels of the heart and body.
Our Practice Philosophy
The physicians at BCA practice as a group, which allows you the input and expertise of six cardiologists. We offer you the opportunity to see any one of us. The doctor you choose to see in the office is your primary cardiologist. Given our 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week schedule, when and if you are admitted to the hospital you may only rarely see your primary cardiologist. However, he or she is still involved in decision making which dictates your care, and will resume seeing you in the office.
In addition to Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, BCA has excellent working relationships with Lehigh Valley, Hahnemann University and University of Pennsylvania hospital centers. Patients are referred for catheterization, angioplasty or surgery to these centers, if needed. The decision for surgery or angioplasty is made jointly between BCA and physicians at these institutions to provide continuity of care.

IF YOU THINK YOU ARE HAVING A HEART ATTACK, CALL YOUR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY.
The American Heart Association says the body likely will send one or more of these warning signals of a heart attack:
Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms.
Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
Not all of these signs occur in every attack. Sometimes they go away and return. If some occur, get help fast. If you notice one or more of these signs in another person, don't wait. Call your emergency medical sevices and get to a hospital right away.
