Tropik Sun began in the summer of 1980 in downtown Chicago as a specialty retail chain offering a variety of nuts, dried fruit, trail mixes, carob/yogurt covered nuts and fruit, as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. Today Tropik Sun has evolved to include a diversified and wide variety of "fun-munchies", gift items and thirst-quenching refreshments including over 20 flavors of gourmet popcorn, along with all sorts of sweet, chocolate-covered, crunchy, fruity and festive candies.
Over the past 30 years, the Tropik Sun franchise grew throughout the Midwest and Southwest eventually expanding to over thirty states from New York to California.
