Professionals at ATTENTION DEFICIT SPECIALISTS provide a comprehensive evaluation of your child or young person to get at the root of the problem. Rather than relying exclusively on medication, we provide alternative non-drug approaches that boost self-esteem and teach young people to control symptoms on their own.

Has a young person whom you know been diagnosed with ADHD, Aspergers, Bipolar Disorder, Pervasive Development Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Learning Disorder or a Learning Disability by different professionals at different times? Is your child taking stimulant medication without having been thoroughly evaluated? Are you confused, upset and frustrated by conflicting opinions? Are you at the end of your rope because you have tried everything and still see no positive results? The fact is that many ADHD children are often improperly diagnosed without a comprehensive evaluation by an ADHD specialist.

Stimulants can be helpful in severe cases of ADHD but should not be used as a first resort. At Attention Deficit Specialists, we see children and adults who have been placed on stimulant medication without first undergoing a comprehensive evaluation. Typically, many of these children are not responding to medication or complain of side effects. Many are also noncompliant in taking medication. Our non-drug approach includes two major treatment modalities Neurofeedback and Interactive Metronome® Attention Training.

Attention Deficit Specialists believes that adults and children with learning disabilities and behavioral problems have the capacity to learn and succeed in school and work without the use of medication. Whenever possible, we help our clients lead a drug-free life by blending neurofeedback, interactive metronome and relaxation training with is the cornerstone of our multi-modal treatment approach with individual and family therapy, parent training, socialization groups and school advocacy.

Attention Deficit Specialists is the leading provider of neurofeedback in the Delaware Valley in Pennsylvania. We have treated thousands of clients with Attention Deficit Disorder using our unique non-drug multi-modal approach. Our multidimensional treatment, featuring neurofeedback as the cornerstone, also integrates other services including: counseling, nutritional evaluation, school meetings and consultation, behavioral coaching and parent support groups. A homeopathic psychiatrist and neurologist are also available for consultation.

We have had over 20 years experience in helping children and adults in the Tri-State area who suffer from ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Anxiety and Depression.

Attention Deficit Specialists staff work with the school, family and the child. The staff work to coordinate treatment with physicians, schools and healthcare professionals. Many of our current clients are referred by physicians, educations and satisfied clients.

Members of our staff are Board certified in Neorofeedback, Biofeedback, and Interactive Metronome ® and are licensed psychologists. A consulting psychiatrist and neurologist are available for patient consultation when necessary.
