The Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists, founded in 1956, is the primary psychological organization for psychologists engaged in clinical practice in the Greater Philadelphia region. In conjunction with the Human Services Center, we serve both the public good and the good of the profession.
The purposes of this organization are:

To publicly represent and interpret psychology as a profession and as a science.
To utilize psychological techniques and principles to improve community welfare and to advance scientific knowledge.
To protect the public by encouraging the highest standards of ethics and professional practice.
To consult with public service organizations in practicing community improvement.
To inform the public of community-based mental health programs, referral sources, prevention programs, as well as updates in the areas of public-policy, psychological treatment, and mental health legislation.
To enhance the professional development of psychology graduate students through exposure to PSCP networking events and mentorship programs.

We offer both professional and student memberships. For more information about memberships, go to our Membership link. We also offer continuing education workshops, including workshops on ethics. See the Continuing Education link for details of upcoming events. Our Human Services Center provides psychological services for individuals at a reduced rate.
