Our secluded little Bucks County Bed and Breakfast Inn built in 1812, provides a romantic escape close to nature in the country. Our neighbors here are the forest, the mountain, the canal, and the river itself. The hotel was built in a unique location on a large bend in the Delaware River tucked into a mountainside called the Pennsylvania Palisades. Conveniently located 30 minutes from Easton, New Hope, Doylestown and Flemington, we offer bed and breakfast accommodations, fine dining, casual dining, wine and cocktails in our bar, special events with live music and art shows, and party and banquet facilities.
Our bed and breakfast inn offers views that are striking in any season. Every room looks out over the canal, the river and the farms of Hunterdon County New Jersey on the opposite bank. The accommodations are appointed in a simple, rustic, not-too-frilly style that befits our location. Every room comes with a complimentary Continental breakfast served in the Canal Dining Room or on the front deck and porch when the weather is warm enough.
Our restaurant offers fine dining with a Mediterranean influenced menu that is best described as sophisticated comfort food. You’ll find seafood, game, beef, and pasta entrees from France, Spain, Northern Italy, and Greece. Our casual menu offers salads, sandwiches and appetizers that we serve for lunch, and in our bar downstairs. To finish off your fine meal you’ll want to save room for dessert. All of our homemade ice creams, cakes, pies and creme brules are made in house by our Chef who loves to bake. Our fine dining menu can be enjoyed in either one of our two dining rooms. The Delaware Room is our most formal fine dining room with it’s refined rustic feel and original stone hearth fireplace. The Canal Dining Room is more casual but allows you a wider view of the river to compliment your meal. Our casual menu can be enjoyed in the Barking Dog Saloon, at lunch in either dining room Friday through Sunday, or on the porch and deck in the open air in the summer.
Our bar and lounge downstairs is the Barking Dog Saloon named after the mascots of our pet friendly hotel, King Ichabod and Queen Rubinov. “The Royal Family” at Indian Rock only make an appearance downstairs at last call to collect the day’s receipts and to entertain those guests who are relaxing with a nightcap. For special events, the Barking Dog is the local venue for live music on Wednesdays with Open Mic and other nights throughout the year. The Indian Rock is proud to support our local music scene and contribute to the nightlife of Bucks, Northampton, and Hunterdon County.
Our art shows are staged in our two fine dining rooms, the Canal Room and the Delaware Room. The Indian Rock is proud to continue the long tradition of fine art and painting in Bucks County and to act as a showcase for our local artists. You’ll find works here from Bucks County, Lehigh County and Northampton County in Pennsylvania, and from Warren County, Mercer County, and Hunterdon County in New Jersey.
Our banquet facilities can host a wide variety of celebrations, from small dinners of 10 to 20 guests to large parties and buffets of up to 75 guests. We can host your event, provide the catering in-house, and the lodging for your wedding, reception, corporate meeting, company party, Ladies Club luncheon, or fraternal organization dinner. Our unique scenic location on the river and the value of what we can deliver for you in terms of menu selection and distinction and price all combine to make our banquet hosting services one of the best values in the area.
Our Inn is conveniently situated halfway between the Lambertville – New Hope area and the Allentown – Bethlehem – Easton area, being about a half-hour drive either way. Whether you are looking for a place for a romantic dinner, or a place to have a cocktail on the river, drive on out to find a quieter place with a warm heart called The Indian Rock Bed and Breakfast Inn and Restaurant.
