Beginning January 1, 2011, bariatric surgeries will be performed at Allegheny General Hospital by Dr. Gagne and Dr. Urbandt, and surgeries will no longer be performed at West Penn Hospital.
The West Penn Bariatric Surgery Center office in Bloomfield will continue to remain open and will be the main office center for all patients, including follow-ups and new patients.
