Richard K. "Rich" Brandt, principal of the firm Richard K. Brandt Law Office LLC has practiced law continuously since his admission to the Bar in 1973. The firm services the Sewickley Valley, the Moon-Airport corridor and the North Hills area of Greater Pittsburgh. He began his legal career as a Neighborhood Legal Services Association attorney working out of the busiest office in the program, the North Side of Pittsburgh and Northern Allegheny County, where Rich honed his legal skills in the courtroom and as an appellate lawyer successfully arguing cases before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and Pennsylvania Superior Court. Rich took this hands on litigation and appellate experience with him into private practice, first with the downtown Pittsburgh, PA law firm of Robb, Leonard and Mulvihill after which he formed his own law firm that continues to this day. He has continually engaged in the practive of law both as a litigator and as a transactional lawyer on a full time basis since his admission to the Bar 36 years ago.

The law firm practice emphasis includes: Drafting all estate planning documents including, wills and trusts, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney (living will) and special needs trusts: Probate of Decedent's wills and trusts, to include all aspects of Estate Administration before the Department of Court Records, Wills/Orphan Court Division, and the Court of Common Pleas, Orphans Court Division, of Allegheny County, PA and surrounding counties; Elder Law to include pre-planning for nursing home admission and advising clients on Medical Assistance requirements/property transfers/etc; Real estate Law inclusing preparation and review of agreements of sale, leases, option agreements, deeds, mortgages, notes, arranging for title insurance, for buyers and closings through Chicago Title/Ticor; Zoning appeals; Landlord and Tenant law; Construction contracts; Business law including formation of all business entities and ongoing business matters to include drafting and review or business contracts and business litigation.

The firm has built strong personal ties with attorneys in other law firms. Rich either partners with or makes referrals to these attorneys to serve his Clients best interests. These referral areas of the law include civil litigation, personal injury, family, employment and criminal law.
