What is Camphill Special School?
Camphill Special School is a nonprofit Pennsylvania Approved Private School and Waldorf school accredited by AWSNA and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools that offers day and residential programs for children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities that may include, but are not restricted to, mental retardation (MR), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Fragile X Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, and other conditions associated with intellectual disability. Camphill Special School is part of the worldwide Camphill Movement and the only Camphill community in North America for children, as well as the only Waldorf school in the country for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Transition Program Prepares Young People for Adulthood

Camphill's Christmas Cafe on Nov. 27th!
Our ever-popular Christmas Cafe´ will be held November 27, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Please join us for unique holiday shopping opportunities, refreshments, and a chance to meet old and new friends! 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Blue Room at Karl Koenig Schoolhouse.

Camphill Special School announces largest capital campaign in its history
We are proud and excited to announce that we have undertaken the largest capital campaign in our history to raise funds for the most critical expansion of our services in forty-seven years.
Sharing Life and Learning: A Campaign for Camphill Special School's Transition Program seeks to raise a minimum of $3 million to fund the construction of a new student residence and an education and resource center at Beaver Farm, the home of our Transition Program.
Our reception and exhibit at the notable Rosenfeld Gallery in Center City, Philadelphia, with the generous artists who have contributed their talents to benefit Camphill Special School, was lovely! Over two hundred art lovers attended and sales were brisk.
There are beautiful pieces still available, so check our on-line gallery to choose yours or to purchase a wonderful holiday gift. Selected pieces also will be available at our Christmas Cafe' on November 27.
