Family Matters Adult Day Center is focused on a "home away from home" environment for our seniors. The participants of Family Matters will have the opportunity to establish new friends, relax, participate in activities, enjoy entertainment and laughter and most importantly, have the ability to be with their families in the evening.
Family Matters was started with a vision to reach two growing populations in need: seniors in our community and the family members who love them. With this in mind, the initial concept of Family Matters evolved to deliver a comprehensive program in a warm homelike setting.
Since its inception, Family Matters has expanded the initial concept of caring for seniors to include younger clientele in need of services and those with mental health diagnosis.
We want to extend to our clients and their families a safe, stimulating atmosphere where quality of life is the utmost importance. We are committed to the development of an individualized plan of care that meets the needs and respects the rights of each of our members and their families.
Our program has been designed with the presence of mind that a human habitat where life revolves around contact with plants, animals and people promotes well being and combats many plagues. Our program has been designed to enhance the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of our members while at their “Home Away From Home”. The staff of Family Matters will provide an array of services inclusive of: Social Stimulation, Restorative Exercise Programs, Assistance with Personal Care, Promotion of Independence and most importantly, Support and Respect to those entrusted to us. Members will be provided the opportunity to participate in meaningful, failure free activities, engage in stimulating entertainment and laughter among new friends.
