“A Church for Christ in the Christmas City”, has been a central theme of our church for over 140 years of ministry. While our home is certainly connected to this rich heritage in Bethlehem, PA we have grown our ministry influence throughout the greater Lehigh Valley and beyond!
People have been drawn to our meaningful worship expressed in both contemporary and traditional worship services. Our commitment to making disciples has led us to develop effective ministries such as our outstanding Sunday School program with classes for children, middle and high school students, young adults, adults and adults with physical and mental challenges. Ministry at FBC is more than Sunday! We have small groups meeting throughout the week and a Wednesday Night Dinner and Discipleship program with various programs throughout the year.

FBC has a heart for mission! It is our joy to partner locally with ministries offering caring ministries with students, homeless and at-risk families. We have partnered with sister churches in our region to do ministries such as Habitat for Humanity and discipleship programs with students. We regularly sponsor short-term mission experiences and through our connection with American Baptist Churches, USA we share in the proclamation of Christ throughout the world. It is our intent through word and deed to share God’s love in Christ.
We want people to know Christ and grow in faith and knowledge of God’s love. We want people to connect and develop meaningful relationships. We want people to discover meaningful worship. We want people to grow in their giftedness and discover the excitement of making a difference for God and His Kingdom! We invite you to come and grow with us!
