A few preventative maintenance checklists are presented below.

Replace air filters in air handling unit(s)
Clean evaporator and condenser coils when necessary
Check condensate drains & traps for proper operation and clean and flush when necessary
Check refrigerant levels
Check all electrical connections and components
Check power supply and voltages
Check thermostat operation
Check motors, bearings and fan blades for proper operation & oil motors as necessary
Check compressor amp draws
Check thermostat operation & calibration
Check for proper air temperature spreads
Check ductwork for air leakage
Check emergency heat
Level outdoor unit if necessary
Confirm unit operating to highest achievable efficiency
Check overall basic heat pump operation

Geothermal / Groundwater Heat Pump

Check water filter and replace if necessary

Check water flow and valve operation
Check circulator pumps operating properly & oil as necessary

Replace oil filter and nozzle (oil boilers only)
