Mynd Works offers innovative and effective programs to support social and emotional growth for children ages 4-19. Our licensed mental health professionals employ their years of experience to match a child with the appropriate counselor and therapeutic method. Parents are included as an integral part of the process. An initial assessment with a counselor helps to determine what treatment approach will be best for each child, including the following options:
In a group setting, children can find support from a therapist as well as learning from their peers. Mynd Works groups provide children with a special place to explore their feelings and share with others. Our groups include Social Sense, which helps children learn how to better relate to peers and adults; and The Treehouse, a unique support group for siblings of children with special needs.
Healing Hearts is a publicly funded program to assist parents and children when trauma or attachment issues are interfering with family functioning. This specialized approach may be particularly beneficial to foster or adopted children.
