Metalife Industries, Inc. provides advanced chromium coatings for industrial purposes. Our hard chrome plating processes include Metalife Thin Dense Chrome (TDC), Metalife Polymer Chrome (MLP) and Thin Dense Flash Chrome (TDCflash)

The Metalife TDC process is utilized to increase wear resistance, resist erosion and corrosion, reduce friction, prevent galling and seizing, and to affect a superior lubrication. Unlike other industrial coatings available, Metalife TDC has 100% guaranteed bond which will not separate from the base metal. Our TDC will not chip, crack, flake or peel nor will it have the edge build up (dog bone effect) associated with conventional hard chrome. Please visit our TDC coating page for more information.

Metalife's MLP is a proprietary process that has the characteristics of TDC with the addition of our polymer compound. This unique technology helps with release issues, wear and corrosion resistance and smoothes out friction issues associated with heat and wear.

The goal of the MLP Tool Coating is to increase overall production by extending tool life and improving tool performance. The coating allows tools to produce more parts in less time because faster cycles are permitted by cooler operational temperatures due to friction reduction. The increased surface hardness of coated tools increases the length of time they will produce acceptable products. Changes in size, shape, or quality of your product signal the need to remove the tools for re-coating. Coated replacements can be used while the first set is re-worked. Our TDCflash was developed to compete with flash chrome plating. You still get our top qualtiy silver satin finish which is superior to standard flash chrome.
