Harvey U. Fracht, MD Dr. Fracht brings a combination of clinical expertise, surgical skill, sensitivity, and compassion to his patients at Conshohocken Eye & Laser Center. He strives to exceed expectations as a physician and surgeon by thoroughly evaluating and diagnosing, explaining the risks and benefits of proposed treatment options, and ensuring proper follow-up until the symptoms are resolved.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, Dr. Fracht earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine followed by an ophthalmology residency at NYU Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Wills Eye Hospital where he was trained to perform LASIK in Philadelphia, PA. He is Board Certified and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Fracht is currently in his eighth year of practice as an ophthalmologist. Prior to opening the Conshohocken Eye & Laser Center, he served as the head of Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition to his clinical and teaching responsibilities, he provided the program's residents with training in cataract extraction and corneal surgical techniques at the Veterans Hospital of Lebanon.
Dr. Fracht has performed thousands laser vision correction successes, in addition to corneal transplants, cataract extractions, and pterygium excisions. Dr. Fracht offers comprehensive medical and surgical services including: laser vision correction, corneal surgery, and dry eye care, as well as glaucoma and macular degeneration diagnosis and management.
