Once after a session with Joan, it was suggested that I sleep on it, and ponder to get the answer from within. I didnt have to do anything besides think about it and get a good nights rest she said. Nothing appeared to have happened during the night but upon awaking I looked at my unruly child in a different way and realized he just needed to be treated with total kindness and a better tone of voice than what I had been using. As I spoke to him in this soft tone during the trial day, he reacted so differently than the other days when I felt like pulling out my hair.

Before the session with Joan, I was being worn down. My innocent son was struggling because he missed his dad who was 500 miles away. I was strongly considering giving him to his father.

me. Her suggestions were right on target. Just sleep on it, was the answer she gave, as I pondered giving my son back to his father. She did add that I should call her before I did anything hasty. She had met my son on a few occasions and she wanted to talk with him if a change was going to occur in his little life. I told Joan maybe a boy should be with his father. I was so wrong! Joan probably willed this (my wanting to reclaim my son), to happen.

Knowing how Joan feels about her own son, she didnt even press her views upon me but let the answer come from within me. If she had said or judged me, I would have cringed. Had she known that I was 99% sure that I would be sending him off to his fathers, she probably would have opposed it.

But the answer did come, as she said it would, and I will forever be grateful for her advice. My son is the pride and joy of my single parent life! And to think I was 99% certain of giving him up! Thank God for counseling! Thank the Source for Joan. When we talk of this incidence and time in my life when I sought her help, she said she prayed and pranted (that thing that she does) for the Highest Good, a Reiki principle she says. It could have gone any which way. After I found the answer, I didnt have a need to go back to her professionally and we only got in touch recently for this book. I was so glad she contacted me and asked me to contribute my story to this book. She truly has the Answers. She deserves to write this book and share it with the World.
