Riviera Maya, Mexico!
I just returned from a summer get-away in Mexicowith my family! Dreams Puerto Aventuras was a wonderful family resort offering great food, warm and friendly staff members, evening shows and lots of fun snorkeling in their bayand relaxing on the beach. Their natural salt water pool was especially enjoyed with colorful fish to watch and a unique swimming spot within the ocean rocks.

The Puerto Aventuras community offered nice walks along the marina from the hotelto lovely shops and local restaurants, as well as a dolphin swim program, allwithin 5 minutes walk. The fun town of Playa del Carmenwas just a cab ride away. The beach area has been restored there to be wide spans of white sand as far up the coastline as you can see. The town offers lots of shopping, restaurants, and unique Mexican watering holes along Fifth Avenue. Bring your pesosto barter for all the Mexican treasures you can carry back home!
Feeling a bit adventurous, we enjoyed the Tulum Extreme Excursion offered by Apple Vacations to view the Mayanruins at Tulum, as well as a chance to do some zip-lining and repelling nearby. Our very favorite part of the excursion was the chance to snorkel in an underground cenote full of crystal clear cool water, stalagmites and stalactites! It was a really remarkable experience!
