Golf at Shawnee is an exceptional experience. 24 of our 27 holes are on a private island in the Delaware River. This pure setting makes it a sanctuary for golfers. The natural environment that Shawnee calls home is special to our staff and guests. We take seriously our responsibility as stewards of this beautiful land: we have instituted recycling and waste reduction programs; we refrain from using chemicals in our housekeeping and laundry, provide a linen reuse program for our guests and are studying the opportunities to use alternative energy.
Our location - on the edge of the pristine Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and on the banks of the wild and scenic Delaware River, mean that a wealth of outdoor recreation opportunities are right on the doorstep of this historic Poconos Pennsylvania hotel. Kayaking, canoeing, rafting, biking, hiking and fishing are all offered right from the grounds of the resort.
