Out of the Ashes...
The Phoenix was completed in 1990. The Facility is owned and maintained by the Reliance Volunteer Fire Company. In January of 1980, a devastating fire struck the company and we had to completely rebuild. After the apparatus room was built, it was used as the banquet facility. This lasted for approximately 5 years while the funds were raised and final design was being completed for a proper banquet facility.

Since the new hall was built, the company decided to give the hall a name separate from the fire company. The name Phoenix was suggested by long time Fire Company friend and state senator Clarence Bell. The company felt the name Phoenix was appropriate since our facility had evolved from ashes, just like the mythical bird.

We are a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and the Upper Chichester Business Association.

Over the years we have continued to enhance the facility to make your day special. We now have two banquet halls … The Phoenix will accommodate from 125 to 450 people and is decorated with beautiful chandeliers, wall to wall carpeting, parquet dance floor, large bar and two sets of restrooms. Lighted trees, beautiful flowers and pictures can be found throughout the facility. Adjacent to the main entrance is a 6-teir, 9-foot tall Water Fountain and a beautiful garden area to take pictures on your special day. The foyer is a beautifully decorated entrance to the hall and a host or hostess will greet your guests.
Just off the entrance is a Bridal Room. Our facility is handicap accessible and parking is free. In addition, The Len Burns Room is now available for rent … a smaller, cozier room which holds up to 80 people. The room is just perfect for birthdays, showers, funeral luncheons, graduations, ect. Be sure to ask about our option to use this room for your rehearsal dinner. The room is adjacent to The Phoenix and used in conjunction with the Foyer makes a great a area for Cocktail Hour.

The Bridal Room is available for bridal party and garden area for pictures.

The decision was made this year to use a list of preferred caterers instead of an exclusive caterer. We have finalized with the caterers below at this time and expect more to be added in the upcoming months. Feel free to contact any or all of them to get information about their menus and services:
