Inside the restored 1790 stagecoach station, Whispers in Time offers antique lovers rare treasures from the 1800's and early 1900's. Every piece has been hand selected because of its particular character or uniqueness. Each visit to Whispers in Time will amaze you with new and different merchandise.
Inside this spacious building you can find charming antique furniture, fully restored and ready to use in your own home. Items of distinction, like a large walnut desk from Nazareth Military Academy or an elaborate seven foot Victorian mantle in rich cherry wood are just some of the items available. A rowing machine from 1890 and an unusual 45 drawer apothecary chest make Whispers in Time a place to come back to again and again. For collectors of "smalls," Whispers in Time carries a large selection of exquisite china and glassware. There is also a wonderful collection of antique toys, including Buddy L trucks and music boxes.
Whispers in Time is family owned and operated by the Meisse family, who have been collecting antiques for over 30 years.
They take pride in all their merchandise and carefully restore and repair all the furniture themselves. Ralph Meisse says he and his family love this business and enjoy being a part of the charming community of Sciota.
