PITTSBURGH ANTIQUE SHOPS are to cool!! The building that now houses the upscale antique shops was once the hub of business in Pittsburghs Castle Shannon district in the late eighteen hundredshousing everything from a bank, drug store, cigar store, mining company and lumber mill. There was a famous murder and bank robbery, (Russian gang) Iroquois Indians and a great infamous hotel across the street.
Today the brick and carved limestone structure is the oldest building in Castle Shannon, the thick brick walls and internal refitted steel structure support large wooden beams throughout, the floors are well worn oak planks and the high first floor ceilings are pressed metal. Antique cherry and mahogany dividers with beveled glass divide the bays that housed Pittsburgh savings bank on the main floor.
The building at the corner of route 88 and Castle Shannon Boulevard (six miles south of Pittsburgh, Pa) is three stories high and built into the hillside so that each floor can be accessed at ground level making it perfect for the antique dealers.

M & M ANTIQUES
Mercedes and Maurice TaylorM & M antiques main interest is buying and selling fine antiques including furniture, jewelry, precious metals and decorative accessories. Our current shop locations are the Pittsburgh Antique Shops (previously Pittsburgh Antique mall) and the Loft at Trax Farms in Finleyville. We are available in person on Mondays at the Pittsburgh Antique Shops and can be reached by phone ( 412-372-4006) at other times. We have done many antique shows at various locations in the tri-state area .Pittsburgh Antique Mall (now Pittsburgh Antique Shops) was one of our previous shop locations in the Pittsburgh area.

We buy Victorian and other antique furniture as well as better brand names such as Miller, Henredon, Willett, Baker, and Davis. Gold and silver jewelry made by Jensen, Spratling, Tiffany, Cartier and American Indians interests us as well as costume jewelry made by Hattie Carnegie, Mariam Haskell, Hobe', Eisenberg, Coro, Weiss and Kramer. Accessories made by Tiffany, Oscar Bach, vintage clothing, metal signs, beer, soda pop and cigarettes, juke boxes and slot machines along with ivory and bronze art are on or list of favorites. Glass ware by Baccarat, Heisey, Fenton, Imperial and Fostoria and old carnival glass are of interest to us rare and unusual items of all age are included in the list of items we will buy and sell.

Dennis Sheffler got the antique bug while dating Crystal Cut Glass in Lancaster, (Pa) Pennsylvania. When Dennis relocated to Pittsburgh, (Pgh) (Pa) Pennsylvania to take a position as the dinning room manager of the Crown Plaza Hotel, Pittsburgh Pa, he established his new antique shop at the South Hills Antique Mall and later the Pittsburgh Antique Shops (previously Pittsburgh Antique Mall). Dennis buys and sells oil paintings, antique and collectible prints, jukeboxes, estate jewelry, colored art glass, clocks, primitives, black memorabilia, vintage clothing, antique toys and games, mahogany furniture, depression glass, art nouveau, art deco items, stained glass, Kerosene lamps and lanterns, country furniture, oriental hooked rugs, Oak furniture, mirrors, trunks, silver items, crocks, purses, Victorian furniture, doll houses, dolls, books, neon signs, beer signs, advertising signs and military items including uniforms, knives, swords and guns.,

Creek-side Antiques and Collectibles specializes in antique vintage oak and mahogany furniture as well as the following; depression glass, stained glass windows, jewelry boxes, American and English dinnerware, antique clocks, Jukeboxes, slot machines, signs (pop/soda, cigarette and beer), costume jewelry, Crystal cut glass (Fenton, Heisey and Baccarat), primitives, vintage clothing, mirrors, crocks, lanterns and oriental rugs.
Al Hamel, the owner of Creek-Side Antiques has been in the antique business for 30 years. He is a retired high school teacher having taught at South Hill School, Pittsburgh, (pgh) Pennsylvania (Pa) and Southwestern (South) High also of Pittsburgh, Pa..Al was a dealer at Southern Hills Antique Mall, he was not with the previous Pittsburgh Antique Mall of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Carol Krugle showcases things from the past, assorted items including cut and crystal glass, 50s and 60s memorabilia, antique toys, colored depression glass, estate furniture, vintage clothing, comic books, Art deco and nouveau art, oak and mahogany furniture, neon signs, prints, oil paintings, antique games and 20 century retro items.
Carl and her husband operate a landscaping business (Flamingo Landscape & Supply) in the Kennedy township section of Pittsburgh, Pa. She has been collecting and selling collectibles for over 20 years, at the Pittsburgh Antique Mall and now at the new Pittsburgh Antique Shops.

Baby items, collectables, giftware and stained glass are other items Shirley has for sale. Earth Life Objects Eula Smith came to Pittsburgh from Nashville, Tennessee in 1947, she specializes in depression glass, antique and vintage pottery, copper and bronze items and vintage clothing. Eula Smith was formerly an Antique Dealer at the Castle Shannon Antique Mall and the Pittsburgh Antique Mall now the Pittsburgh Antique Shops.

I work for the transportation division of US Steel Corporation in downtown Pittsburgh Pa and travel to and thro daily. Ernie is retired from the heavy construction industry.
