Today, the company's fleet includes 33 trucks, 48 and 53 foot van trailers, 48 foot flatbed trailers and 53 foot step-deck trailers. Engles also retains 10 owner-operators described as a true asset to the business.
The company services all of the lower 48 states and Canada, transporting a variety of raw and finished materials including but not limited to machinery, lumber, plastic pipe, chemicals, steel products, building materials and consumer goods.
Tim Engles founded the business on February 1, 1991, starting with a fleet of owner-operators. He purchased the first company-owned truck in 1993 and started Engles Family Moving, a residential and commercial moving company. And in 1999, he sold the moving business and focused his efforts on trucking.
Engles Trucking was purchased by Jason Engles and Heather Daigle in January 2005, and they continue to work with Engles Leasing Services of Ohio, an Youngstown-based leasing company owned by Tim Engles. Together with Engles Leasing, the trucking firm employs 63 people from the community.
