Haldeman Mechanical, inc. is a plumbing, heating, cooling and water conditioning company located in Manheim. The Haldeman family has been in the mechanical contracting and repair business for three generations.
Frank L. Haldeman began repairing hand operated well pumps, installing automatic jet pumps, and installing “modern” indoor plumbing and heating systems in 1939. In 1949, he established F.L. Haldeman & Sons Plumbing, Heating and Cooling with his three sons, Lloyd, Ed, and Jay, and son-in-law, John Heisey. The company incorporated in 1965 and continued until 1989, when the last of the Haldeman family left the corporation. The company was then purchased by an employee.
In 1982, Mark Haldeman, Lloyd’s son and Frank’s grandson, opened Mark Haldeman Mechanical Service Company, a plumbing, heating, cooling and water conditioning business. The company incorporated in 1995 and became Haldeman Mechanical, Inc. In 2001, Haldeman Mechanical purchased F.L. Haldeman and Sons, Inc. The company now operates from the original F.L. Haldeman and Sons location at 1148 Old Line Road in Manheim.
New Acquisition In the spring of 2008, Haldeman Mechanical continued to expand its operations through the acquisition of Steve Splain Heating and Air Conditioning of Columbia. The company is pleased to welcome Steve Splain's customers to the Haldeman Mechanical family.
