Milestone is a private, nonprofit, community-based agency providing services to people with behavioral and intellectual challenges throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. We were founded in 1969 in response to the Pennsylvania Mental Health & Mental Retardation Act of 1966. Our philosophy of inclusion, community integration and recovery—the core notions of social services—was far ahead of its time when our agency launched, and today we continue to provide our consumers with progressive intellectual and behavioral health care service solutions. Our mission is to provide quality, life-enhancing services that promote wellness and the development of human potential.
