Hello, Im Dr. Steve Weisblatt. Thank you for visiting my web site.

What I excel at and enjoy most is helping people feel better. My treatment philosophy is to offer careful, individualized assessment, treatment and follow-up care to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
My area of specialization is in accurately recognizing if a person does or does not have an imbalance of brain chemistry that is interfering with their mental health. I accomplish this by taking the time, working closely with the individual (and their support system), to make an accurate diagnosis and put an effective treatment plan in place.
Many individuals get treatment that either covers-up the problem or only results in a decrease in symptoms. This is just not enough. It is understood by experts that it is critical that chemical imbalances be treated actively and to remission (complete absence of symptoms). Any chemical imbalance that remains untreated both increases the likelihood of future recurrence and impacts negatively on ones own quality of life and on the lives of those who we live and work with. By treating to remission and providing ongoing monitoring and follow-up we can hopefully keep the problem in permanent remission so that life can be lived undisturbed by it.
Symptoms and Syndromes that are assessed include:

1 out of 3 people worldwide suffer from a chemical imbalance at some point in their lives
Of that group, in the U.S., only about 50% of those people will seek professional help
Of this smaller group of those who do seek help, only 50% will receive appropriate diagnosis and treatment
