Denise has has 30+ years of experience as a speech pathologist and maintains a private practice in Indiana, PA.
Denise was one of the first 29 speech pathologists trained in VitalStim and implemented one of the first hospital programs in the country. Her patients are featured in the VitalStim brochure and her program has been spotlighted in numerous newspaper articles and television programs. Therapists have visited from the east coast and Sweden. Denise has been a VitalStim instructor since 2003. She consults on patients from the US and overseas. Denise serves as Vice President of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA), AAPPSPA liaison for the ASHA Health Care Economics Committee and received the Academy’s 2007 Honor Award for her achievements. Denise also serves on the Expert Work Group for Quality Insights of Pennsylvania initiating quality measures for improving effectiveness, efficiency, economy and quality of services delivered to Medicare Beneficiaries. She teaches courses in Dysphagia as well as End of Life Decisions for Cross Country Education.
