Wayne Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, community-controlled hospital based in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. We offer exceptional quality and skill in both inpatient and outpatient care in more than 30 medical specialties. Our Hospital has 98 acute-care beds and an additional 14 beds dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation.

The Commonwealth Medical College and Wayne Memorial Hospital

Scranton, Pennsylvania – Officials of Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) recently entered into an agreement with The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) to provide clinical and community health research opportunities for its medical students. In October 2010, WMH and Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers, along with Highland Physicians, began welcoming five TCMC medical students for (3) one-week clinical experiences in their first and second year as part of TCMC’s Scranton Regional Campus. The students arrived at WMH on October 25.

WMH Awarded Sponsor of the Year by Red Cross

A Sponsor of the Year Award was given to Wayne Memorial Hospital by the American Red Cross on the heels of the hospital moving its bi-monthly blood drive “indoors.”
