Peter Byron Tutak, 71, of Albion,
formerly of Cheswick, passed away on February 9, 2010.
He was born in New Kensington on December 21, 1938
to the late Pete and Anna Mae (Sturga) Tutak.
He graduated from Springdale High School in 1956
then joined the Navy, where he served aboard the USS McNair.
Pete was best known for his role as pioneer in the geothermal heating and air conditioning business.
For over 40 years, he served the tri-state region as owner of
Air Tak, American Energy Products and Delta T Geothermal.
Prior to his years with geothermal HVAC,
Pete worked as an engineer for Kellogg American in Oakmont and Van Air in Erie.
One of Pete's passions in life belonged with the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping,
and spending time around the campfire at Hogback Hill with family and friends.
He also enjoyed shooting at the Albion Sportsman's Club, where he was a member.
He was also a member of the NRA and the Tea Party.
He is survived by his wife, Aletha (Beck) Tutak;

his sister, Colette (Raymond) Sharkins of Cheswick,
and Barbara (Jim) Lizzi of Lower Burrell;
and his best friend, Dorian Monroe, of Albion.
Pete will be remembered for his creative ability to repair anything
and his instinctive mentoring of those close to him.
His love for researching and sharing historical facts has led us all to know
the true meaning of "Ship High in Transit."
As Pete requested, the family had a party prior to his passing to celebrate his life.
Pete was a wonderful husband, father and friend
and we will continue to celebrate the gift that was given all of us with him in our lives.

Where is geothermal heating andcooling -- Utilized by hundreds of schools, office buildings, retirement facilities, and government buildings
Indoor space efficiency of geothermal technology -- Geothermal heating and cooling reduces equipment room size 50-80%
Competitive first cost of geothermal heating and cooling -- Capital investment quickly recouped from energy and maintenance savings from geothermal heating.
Safety of geothermal heating and cooling-- The safest heating and cooling system available
Convenience of geothermal heating and cooling -- Viable alternative for nearly all commercial and residential properties
Comfort of geothermal heating and cooling -- Allows for a higher degree of comfort
Health concerns with geothermal heating and cooling -- systems don't rely on outside air. They keep indoor air cleaner and free of pollens, outdoor pollutants, mold spores, and other allergens. If indoor air quality is a priority to you,consider geothermal heating.
Cleanliness of geothermal heating and cooling systems work toward the preservation of the environment by minimizing present environmental problems like acid rain, air pollution, and the destruction of the ozone layer.
Maintenance of geothermal heating and cooling -- Fewer mechanical components, 20 + year life expectancy with geothermal heating and cooling.
