The Graham Academy is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania as a Private Academic School. It is designed to partner with parents and school districts in their efforts to assist and educate children with autism or social and emotional challenges. The Graham Academy exists to help foster the developmental foundations critical for children with these diagnosis to be able to continue their educational journey. Children in first through sixth grades are placed in small classes with teachers that are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students are immersed in a dynamic, multi-sensory learning environment and engaged in hands on activities designed to promote communication, cognitive, social and academic skills. The Graham Academy currently provides autism spectrum classes for grades 1-6 as well as emotional support classes for grades 1-6.
Whether students live with autism or social and emotional challenges, the staff at The Graham Academy endeavors to provide a safe and supportive environment for the unique developmental and emotional needs of every student. We strive to help each student reach their individualized goals so that students will be able to return to their home school district when the appropriate time comes.
