Media Children's House - Education in the Montessori Tradition
The Montessori classroom provides an environment that nurtures your child's social skills. Children will learn kindness, courtesy, and respect for their fellow classmates - building wonderful friendships along the way!
Confidence & Individuality
The Montessori Method fosters a child's sense of confidence and individuality. MCH students are encouraged to share unique personal stories or educational items that are meaningful to them.
A Sense of Accomplishment
Montessori activities are referred to as 'work', because exploring and learning are truly the work of the child. Contrary to an adult concept of work, students choose activities which appeal to their individual needs. Therefore, Montessori work is a joyful experience that is completed in a relaxed manner with a true sense of accomplishment!
Not the Same Old Song & Dance
At MCH, each semester ends with a bang! Each classroom practices a unique musical routine to perform in front of their adoring fans (aka family & friends) at the Aston Community Center. Truly one of the highlights of the school year!
The Home/School Connection
The connection between home and school is vital to a child's success. MCH encourages parents/guardians to share their knowledge & experience in the classroom and to volunteer at school events. Special presentations on art, music, cultural studies, etc. are all ways to enhance the classroom experience for everyone!
