The History of the Chadds Ford Inn 1703-1810
In 1703, an English Quaker from Wiltshire, Francis Chadsey, purchased 500 acres of choice land from William Penn’s Commissioner for land grants. These acres encompass most of present day Chadds Ford. Francis Chadsey’s house is now the Chadds Ford Inn.

Brandywine Prime does not charge a room fee, and will be more than happy to set up a bar that fits your budget.

I have had many great steaks at Brandywine Prime and so I tried the lemon pepper chicken and scalloped potatoes – excellent. I have another dish to come and enjoy. Everyone complemented the food. I also want to complement the wait staff – they were absolutely great. I appreciate that under the trying circumstances of that memorable weather induced flooding and traffic, everyone was very patient with us even though the event started and ended later than planned. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I am sure I will see you when I come for a regular night out. Thanks again.

The Mill is a great space for a casual celebration like a birthday or anniversary. There is a bar and ample space for up to 60 guests to stand up and mingle, with some limited seating in the rear of the room.

Brandywine Prime is the perfect location for a rehearsal dinner, baby shower, bridal shower, or corporate event. The Mill Room seats 50+ and The Chas Room seats 36. The second floor of the restaurant is a perfect space for up to 80 guests.

Brandywine Prime Hors D’Oeuvres
Brandywine Prime is the perfect venue for cocktail parties & corporate or private receptions. The Mill room has a private bar and can accommodate up to 75 for a stand up event. Smaller events can be booked in the lounge, a semi-private room off the main bar. View a sample cocktail menu.
