Comfort Keepers was founded by a Trauma Nurse who recognized that an integral part of the “continuum of care" was missing. Patients were routinely discharged and absent prohibitively expensive in- home nursing, were left to fend for themselves regardless of post hospital condition. This lead to frequent, needless re-injury and subsequent re- hospitalization. Comfort Keeper caregivers fill that vital role between no assistance and expensive nursing.
