Nate Seigel, operations manager at Mifflinburg Lumber and Building Supply donates a check for$250.00 to the Kelseys Dream Foundation. Mifflinburg Lumber and Building Supply participated in the annual Kelseys Fall Festival held at the Mifflinburg VFW Grounds. Nate and six MLBS volunteers cut out and built bird and bat houses with supplies donated by the lumberyard and 8 MLBS volunteers helped assemble at the festival. A portion of the store proceeds were then donated to further assist the organization. All totaled, the MLBS efforts raised over $500.
The festival was founded in memory of Kelsey Kuhns, who passed away in 2005 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Her family started the fundraising as a small apple butter kettle cook. It quickly ballooned into a full-fledged festival featuring food, games, entertainment and childrens activities. MLBS is proud to be a supporter of Kelsey's Dream.
