Planning, Budgeting & Building The Kitchen and Baths Of Your Dreams
One Source Responsibility for Your Total Project Renovation
Historical Organizational Overview
VOLPATTI ENTERPRISES evolved into existence. The company today had its beginning in early 1952 when its founder, Joseph Volpatti, with the blessing of his young wife Marian, made the decision to turn their part-time remodeling endeavors into a full-time family-owned business, the Carrick Tile Company.
In the early years the focus of the company was primarily on doing brick, block, tile and cement work for contractors and in addition working whatever projects that they could muster in their efforts to grow the business, pay the bills, and raise a family of five
Armed with a WWII drill sergeants work ethic and an unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity, and doing whatever was necessary to turn out one project of uncompromising quality after another, the business grew and prospered through the best and worst of times throughout the 1950s.
To offset the seasonality of the business in these early years, in 1962, Mr. Volpatti opened Joes Bike and Hobby Shop, which still exists today, and each of the Volpatti boys were brought into the business upon reaching their tenth birthday to help and learn the ways of the world according to Big Joe Volpatti.
Throughout the 60s and 70s the remodeling
business and the Volpatti reputation grew until 1982, when son Jeff Volpatti took over the remodeling business and focused
on securing primarily high-end tile projects from home contractors. As the Volpatti name and reputation continued to grow under Jeffs management, it was decided that the company name would be changed from Carrick Tile Company to Volpatti General Contractors in 1992. By 1994 Jeff decided that the company would no longer do work for contractors, but would instead market itself directly to the public in the South Hills Area as residential Kitchen, Bath, and Home Remodelers.
Operating out of a small showroom on Route 88 in Library, the company has continued to grow
significantly over the past ten years. And with the
opening of its state of the art consulting, design,
fabricating, and installation showroom facility, the
company is now at a crossroads and is poised to
become recognized as the premiere, high end, single source and residential remodeling company in the South Hills and throughout the Greater
